Members will be aware of the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday and the subsequent publication of government guidelines and clarifications. That has opened up the possibility of increased recreational activity by individuals and households.
We are currently considering detailed recommendations from the LTA applying to tennis facilities and playing conditions. We will NOT, therefore, be opening the tennis courts for play this week. However, we will update tennis playing members shortly on how we propose to implement those recommendations.
We are also in regular dialogue with the England & Wales Cricket Board and Kent Cricket on their recommended suspension of all recreational cricket play and practice. This suspension remains in force at the present time and that includes any form of informal cricket activity at the ground.
We hope you will appreciate that our first concern must be the health and wellbeing of all, consistent with a safe return to sport as soon as appropriate.

The April 100 Club draw took place live online this evening. Host John Swannick and adjudicator John Robins used the Random Number Generator to pick numbers and the winners were:

Well done to all the Staplehurst cricketers, and Sharpy, for completing the 5K “Not Out” challenge today and raising over £1,100 for the NHS! And the total is still rising!
